The communications consultancy that connects people with purpose, making work better and business stronger

Because internal comms isn’t just a nice-to-have—
it’s the driving force behind your profit and performance

Hi, I’m Emma—

I’ve spent eighteen years shaping and delivering internal communications strategies across industries

From Fortune 500s to large non-profits to heavily unionised sectors, I’ve navigated the red tape and built trusted relationships at every level.

While my career has been varied, my mission has always been the same: to build stronger cultures and deliver better results by making internal communication clear.

I’m your strategic partner, here to cut through complexity—whether that’s internal restructures, system overhauls, or new ways of working—and translate it into communication that drives aligned action across your organisation.

What makes me different

Everything I recommend is evidence-based

I don’t believe in copy-paste strategies or pressing publish just to tick a box. My work is backed by research and tailored to your goals. That might mean running focus groups to hear what your employees actually think, helping teams navigate complex change with clear and confident communication, or cutting through corporate jargon so leaders can share messages in a way that resonates across teams.

Every recommendation ties directly to a tangible business outcome, whether that’s improving engagement, reducing turnover, or helping people adopt a new way of working. And I don’t just walk away once the strategy is signed off. I’ll stay with you through implementation, socialisation, and adoption, ensuring lasting results for your organisation.

My why

Change-making communication starts with purpose—this is mine

My career has unfolded alongside a lifelong illness. This isn’t something I hide—it’s shaped who I am and how I work. Living and working with Crohn’s disease means I’ve always pushed myself hard, always driven to deliver, even at the expense of my own wellbeing. I still remember being in intensive care, hooked up to multiple machines, worrying about work! No one should feel this kind of pressure.

This experience, and the toll it took on me, showed me I want to make work a place that supports people, not one that adds to their anxiety. It showed me what is truly important, and highlighted how so many organisations are occupied by what’s not.

Your people carry more than deadlines and targets into the workplace. Their minds are overwhelmed by health, family, finances. Work shouldn’t add to this burden. It should motivate, inspire, and fulfill them. But to do this, we need to lead, plan, and communicate in a way that makes them feel understood and valued.

That belief drives my work today—helping leaders understand their people better, communicate with honesty and empathy, and create workplaces where clarity and trust make space for people to do their best work and live full lives outside of it.

People are an organisation’s greatest asset

Integrity always

All communication should have integrity and purpose behind it

Clarity wins

Clarity beats complexity—more information isn’t always the answer

Human connection

Organisations thrive when we are honest, transparent, and human in our communications

The fieldfare—a bird that moves with purpose and adapts to change

Fieldfare Communications is named after the fieldfare, a migratory thrush often found at the edge of fields, navigating the changing seasons. The fieldfare is known for its resilience, collaboration, and quiet determination.

It moves with intent, adapts to change, and stays connected to its surroundings. I work in much the same way, navigating change with purposeful movement and an acute awareness of my environment.

This considered way of working allows me to create lasting impact—guiding transformation, shaping culture, and connecting people to the things that truly matter.

Fieldfare is also a quiet nod to my connection with nature and to the values it represents for me—fairness, integrity, and the importance of staying grounded in what’s real and what’s important when everything around us is shifting.
